As one of the biggest players on the global outboard market, Suzuki always makes waves when it launches a new model, doubly so when it’s a hefty 200hp outboard.
In this video, MBY editor Hugo Andreae takes to the water on a Bénéteau Flyer 6.6 Space Deck to put the new Suzuki DF200AP through its paces.

The first thing to note is that it is a four-cylinder engine, making it considerably lighter than its six-cylinder predecessor.
Another notable feature is the keyless start, which increases security as you need to have the key fob within one metre of the console in order to start the engine.
Hugo reserves particular praise for the fly-by-wire throttle, which makes clicking into drive and reverse gear a very smooth experience.
