Nick Burnham gets to grips with the Sea Ray L650 in Marbella and finds plenty to admire in this big American flybridge
Sea Ray has a long history of building large flybridge boats, but you wouldn’t know it to look at the European market.
This US-based manufacturer is best known on this side of the Atlantic for its smaller sportscruisers that sell in their droves, but that could all be about to change with the launch of the Sea Ray L650.
In this video, our man Nick Burnham heads to Puerto Banus in Marbella to drive this brand new 65-footer.
He reports that while it fulfils some of the American clichés, the Sea Ray L650 also boasts sharp styling and has plenty of surprises in store.
Out on the water, Nick revs up the twin Cat C18a engines, which generate 1,150hp each and deliver a top speed of around 29 knots.
