Jack Haines reports on the big reveal of the Fairline Shadow S at the 2015 London Boat Show, and explains why there’s more to it than meets the eye
One of the most hyped boats at the 2015 London Boat Show was the Fairline Shadow S, which was appropriately named due to the huge amount of secrecy surrounding it.
Very little was known about this new arrival before the curtain dramatically dropped at lunchtime on opening day to reveal… a Fairline Targa 38 in a black suit.
But although the hull is recycled, Jack Haines argues that there is much more to this new arrival than meets the eye.
In this video report, our boat test editor steps on board the Fairline Shadow S to inspect all the little nitty gritty details that make this a bold re-imagining of an already successful sportscruiser.
We also weigh up the brave claim that this twin 400hp Volvo Penta engined speedster is the fastest Fairline ever built.
