For this month’s Used Boat report we’ve been taking a look at the Elling E3, a Dutch model that is both refined and rugged
For a boat that can trace its ancestry back to North Sea pilot vessels, the Elling E3 is a surprisingly refined package.
Take the high-gloss teak table in the saloon or the electrically opening sunroof over the helm station – just two of the reasons why this model has proved such a hit on the Continent.
However, it’s rugged self-righting hull and go-anywhere seafaring abilities play just as big a part in this broad European appeal.
In this video we jump on board a 2005 model that is up for sale through Ancasta in Falmouth for £240,000.
We guide you through all the layout variations and optional extras (and there have been quite a few!) that Elling has offered over the past 15 years.
