A video walkthrough of the ever so quirky Overblue 44 from the Cannes Boat Show
The Overblue 44 is so unlike anything else out there that it’s difficult to know where to place it.
It’s part powercat, part houseboat but with just 75hp per side and a top speed of 14 knots it probably falls more into the latter camp.
What those boxy looks do deliver is mountains of interior space, even if the inside is somewhat let down by a frustrating lack of glazing. Small windows aside, the interior feels more like that of a chic apartment than the inside of a boat.
Probably the best bit of the 44 is the top deck because it runs the entire length of the boat giving you an enormous, flat outdoor living area – ideal for long lazy days in the sun.
But the single, standing only helm up here gives you some indication as to what sort of cruising the Overblue is made for.
