Sportsfisher rescued by RNLI
Rhyl’s All-weather RNLI lifeboat and volunteer crew assist a sportsfisher boat with a fouled anchor. As suggested in the November 2011 issue of MBM, the rescue team uses a grappling hook to snag the anchor line and successfully free the anchor. The vessel is then escorted back to its launch site.
Lobster pot boat needs rescuing
The tables are turned as a volunteer crew aboard the Penlee all-weather lifeboat launch to assist a 25ft lobster fishing boat, which fouled its prop while hauling pots three miles east of Newlyn back in May.
