A fresh look at the coupe design from Nimbus
The first thing you notice about the Nimbus 335 Coupe is its asymmetric deck.
Everything you know about boats and balance tells you this shouldn’t work, but this Swedish builder pulls it off – with aplomb.
The starboard side is given priority, with a deep, walkaround-style bulwark allowing safe passage past the superstructure, while the port-hand side deck is narrowed and raised, but still useable.
There’s a generous door from the helm out on to the starboard deck, allowing the skipper to hop out and help with warps.
Deep window lines and a sunroof add to a sense of light in the saloon, and Nimbus fans will be pleased with the mahogany woodwork.
The two-cabin 335 features a V-berth forward, and simple, tucked-away mid cabin, both served by a combined toilet/shower compartment.
On the water, the 335 is happiest in the late teens, but if you feel the need to push on, the hull will take you comfortably to 25 knots.
