Coming in at under £200k, this sportscruiser looks like a lot of boat for the money. But how much bang do you actually get for your buck?
The last 18 months has seen Bavaria launch a powerplay for dominance in the sportscruiser market. We’ve seen the Sport 28 and 34 and the range will soon be capped off with a flagship 43. This 38, however, marks a particularly interesting point in the market.
Priced well under £200,000, it looks like an awful lot of boat and will go up against several smaller models including Sealine’s best-selling SC35.
Pros
- Spacious mid cabin
- Great decks
- Good Stowage
Cons
- Single helm
- No hull-side window for interior

Verdict
Big on size and value, the Sport 38 is very easy to spend time on. The detail work might be lacking, but Bavaria now has a line up that means business.
