A bright and beamy daycruiser alternative from Zodiac
The N-ZO is a straightforward daycruiser alternative, and comes in three levels of fitout all running single outboard engines: Base, Optimum (as tested) and Premium. You also have a choice of blue, grey and olive tubes.
Even at only 22ft 7in in length, the N-ZO’s cabin feels quite roomy and inviting, and is definitely not your standard, pokey cuddy.
Light oak panels are used to create a sitting-room-only electric flush toilet compartment with a small sink just outside its door.
With the neutral upholstery working with the oak to create a very clean space, you won’t mind spending a couple of nights on board this RIB.
On deck, this RIB is simple, ordered and very tidy, with huge tubes offering a feeling of protection.
On a choppy test day, the RIB performed well, but something bigger than the standard 225hp outboard is needed to get the best out of this hull.
Tested September 2009
Pros
- Affordable, masses of deck and cabin space for its length
Cons
- The N-ZO deserves more power and it will get it
Price as reviewed:
£54,500.00
Verdict
This could be the boat that takes cabin RIBs mainstream. It has everything a 23-footer has but does most of it better.
