If you’re looking for an upmarket cruiser with plenty of style, Fairline’s flamboyant Squadron 43 is not to be sniffed at…
Fairline always seems to offer a bit more panache in its designs. Squadron’s signature stainless steel forward screen adds purposeful intent, while the slatted side sections hide away the added bonus of opening-up saloon windows.
The superstructure is big, allowing maximum interior space, but it still looks in proportion to the hull.
With a top speed of 30 knots, the 43 still stands shoulder to shoulder with today’s flybridge players and the Squadron dealt with all the bluster and chop easily.
Olesinski’s hull designs can usually be relied upon to steer fast when you need to, and track straight when you don’t.
Pros
- Good value for money
Cons
- A ladder takes the place of moulded steps up to the flybridge

Verdict
A reputation for style, quality, and on-water ability converts Fairline into blue-chip boat stock and strong residual values.
