Saga and Eivind Amble have succeeded in their goal of providing a boat whose cockpit can be used as the main living area, whatever the weather conditions. Everything here works very well, and although the 26HT sleeps three, the cockpit will swallow many more for entertaining. Those of you who like the idea of cockpit living would probably add a heater if your plans extend to evenings cooking and dining under the stars.
After sorting out the heart of the boat so well, Saga dragged their heels down below – more attention to detail and finish is needed here.
There is a fully planing version of the 26HT, but for those of you prepared to forgo the 30-knot thing, the slower boat provides a very quiet and economical entry to boating the Scandinavian way.
