A chance to ride the twin-hulled rocket

Competitors in the national Zapcat series are offering people the chance to ride one of the twin-hulled inflatables for a donation of £40 which will go to charity.

The proceeds of the initiative go to Chase Hospice Care for Children & Children in Need.

The fundraising scheme has been put together by Nathan Parker of Southampton, who has just finished his first season racing Zapcats.

He finished 13th overall as part of the Vortex team and Vortex are helping support the day out.

Nathan says: “I approached my team sponsors Vortex about us helping my employers City Link raise money for Chase and they were well up for it.

“Zapcat racing is such an awesome experience and we want to give other people the opportunity I had to get involved with the sport and raise some money for a very worthwhile charity in the process.”

City Link and Vortex Racing will be offering the thrill of a Zapcat ride, with experienced teams from the national championship, on Saturday 22 November from Merlin Quay, Southampton.
