The North West boatyard is opening its doors for a free event on Saturday 30 August, including free overnight moorings
Whitehaven Marina will be welcoming the general public later this month (30 August) for a boat jumble and open day.
The 300-berth boatyard on the North West coast will be offering free overnight moorings for visiting vessels, while private individuals are free to sell their spare parts as part of the boat jumble sale.
Other attractions include a bouncy castle, local ice cream, Raymarine demonstrations, and free marine electrical health checks from Chris Dobson Marine.
What’s more, Bénéteau specialists Maiden Marine will be selling chandlery and displaying a range of used boats for sale.
Running from 10am to 4pm, the free event will allow boatowners to take a closer look at Whitehaven’s redeveloped premises, which includes a new boat sales office (pictured above).
Simone Morgan, marina manager at Whitehaven, said: “We are really looking forward to welcoming berth holders and visitors – both by water and by foot – to the marina. It should be a fun day.”
Those looking to book a free visitor’s mooring should e-mail enquiries@whitehavenmarina.co.uk or call Tony Taylor on 01946 692435.
