Free family show this weekend
A theatre group which performs on water will premiere their new show at the Greenwich and Docklands International Festival this weekend.
The show, titled Oxymer, combines music, dance, fire and waterwork and will take place in London’s Docklands.
Produced by the world-renowned French theatre company Ilotopie, the piece is a parable, encouraging people to live more sustainably or face the consequences.
British Waterways‘ Docklands Harbour and Waterspace Manager, Gareth Stephens said, “British Waterways is really pleased to be working with the Festival and the theatre company to facilitate getting such a spectacle onto the water proving that London’s waterways are a fantastic leisure resource and a canvas for the arts.”
The free show will be performed live from 9.45pm on Friday 2 and Saturday 3 July at Deards Landing, Millwall Outer Dock.
