First event has wow factor
Organisers have reported on the success of the first Welsh Boat Show, which took place earlier this month.
Despite mixed weather, the show was a resounding success, with exhibitors reporting strong sales and a high level of quality visitors over the three-day event.
This years show was held for the first time at the United Counties Showground, Carmarthen, West Wales.
The Main Indoor Exhibition Arena comprised of more than 68 exhibitors with a large range of sports cruisers, fishing boats and equipment in the outside arena.
It also incorporated Used Boat section offering a selection of used boats for sale.
“This weekend’s show was superb,” says Simon Ashton, Managing Director of Horizon Events Ltd, show organiser of the Welsh Boat Show 2007. “The show was buzzing, and it is clear that the Event was a hit with both visitors and exhibitors. We are looking forward to building on the success of this year’s show in 2008.”
Many exhibitors also commented on how successful the three-day event was.
Gareth Day from Cardiff Bay Boat Sales said: “It was a fantastic show and was very well organised. We had an exceptional level of sales and the event was very successful for us across the three days with a great turnout of quality customers. We’ll definitely be back next year.”
Tim Harrison from Rinker UK Sales said: “We were very pleased to have attended the Welsh Boat Show 2007 and found it to have been a great success. The Bank holiday venue was appropriately timed in the Sales season and the quality of attending visitors was very high with many genuine visitors wishing to purchase. We are all looking forward to the Welsh Boat Show 2008”.
Matt from Ocean Eleven Ropes said: The event was well organized, easy to exhibit. I had a good show and have received many orders on the back of it already. I see a promising future for this event. We’ll be retuning in 2008.”
