Wallpaper magazine is going all boaty with a ground-breaking exhibition entitled New Wave in Milan this month
One of Motor Boat & Yachting’s IPC stablemates, Wallpaper, is going all boaty. Wallpaper is an international lifestyle and design magazine and it is making its first foray into the maritime world with a ground-breaking exhibition, entitled New Wave, in Milan this month.
The New Wave exhibition is being held during the Salone del Mobile, Europe’s most prestigious furniture show. The exhibition centres on the new WallyPower 118, the 60 knot superyacht that we’ve featured in MBY a couple of times recently. The Wallpaper presentation not only encompasses a 118ft canvas replica of the new Wally yacht, but illustrates a day-in-the-life on board this superyacht as well as presenting new, related lifestyle trends.
Jeremy Langmead, editor-in-chief of Wallpaper, says: “My first sight of the new 118 WallyPower superyacht last summer was incredibly exciting. Here was something that makes you sit up and stare. Here was the future of design and technology – an intelligent, innovative and highly-coveted product, absolutely the essence of what Wallpaper is all about.
“By putting on this unique exhibition, we are not only looking at the 118 WallyPower, but also the fantastic lifestyle that goes with it. It is very important that Wallpaper is seen once again as the conveyor of new ideas and projects aimed at promoting and enhancing the value of contemporary styles and architecture.”
The New Wave Exhibition opens on April 9 and goes on until April 22nd, and will draw crowds from the design, architecture, media and finance industries.
