Safehaven Marine, the Irish manufacturer of all-weather commercial vessels, has launched a new Interceptor 48 pilot boat – and with it, an amazing new video of the Force 10 sea trial.
The Irish company has gained a reputation for sending its boats out into fearsome Atlantic conditions from its home in County Cork that even the hardiest souls wouldn’t dare venture out in.
This latest pilot boat was built for P&O Maritime for use in Maputo, Mozambique and is the seventh Interceptor 48 model to be launched. See the amazing video of its sea trial below.
Twin Volvo D13 500hp engines provide the power, pushing the 48-footer up to a max speed of 24.5 knots. She’s fitted with 1,850-litre fuel tanks to provide a range of 250 nautical miles.
