This cavernous support vessel can carry up to five tenders, as well as jet skis, quad bikes, helicopters and submarines
What do you do when your 87m Feadship can’t fit all your toys on board? Build a 66m shadow boat to carry them of course!
Launched this week by Spanish yard Astilleros Armón and designed by multihull specialist Incat Crowther, Hodor is the latest member of a growing global fleet of superyacht support vessels.
The owner clearly has a need for speed, as the pictures above show an impressive array of rapid toys, from a 56ft chase boat packing four Seven Marine outboards on the transom to what looks like a Fountain 32 Thundercat.
That’s just the tip of the iceberg, however, as Hodor can also carry a further three tenders, a submarine and a Eurocopter 145, not to mention jet skis and quad bikes galore.
Hodor is no slouch either, with a top speed of 22.5 knots – enough to overtake the mothership so that the 20-strong crew can set up all the toys in the next secluded anchorage via the four built-in davits.
When the owner and his chums tire of charging around at top speed, they can explore underwater, as Hodor has a fully-equipped dive store, complete with Nitrox and O2 compression facilities.
A more fitting tribute to Game of Thrones’ humble giant, we can’t imagine…
