The two firms have signed a deal that will see Global Yachts become the sole agent for Trusty Boats in the UK
Hamble Point-based Global Yachts is now the sole UK agent for Trusty Boats.
The deal between Global Yachts and Blue C Marine, maker of the classic-looking Trusty motorboats, will mean a Trusty will be available for testing in the Solent for the first time.
“Global are ideally situated to promote the boat on the coast,” Blue C Marine’s Paul Burborough, said. “We hope to have the first boat with them by April.”
This first Trusty on the south coast will be the new T23, which, Burborough says, is selling well.
“We’re hoping to increase production to meet demand so we can start selling slots. This year we hope to be able to start making one Trusty a month.”
