A day of rest at Kortgene
Tuesday 8th August
Day 4
Position – Delta Marina, Kortgene

It was planned as a lazy day, but it never seems to work out that way. The first thing on the agenda was gettingKaliveslifted to see what was causing her to vibrate at low speed. The culprit was a nasty length of green fishing net that had wrapped tightly round both shafts. Once back in the water, skipper Stuart took her for a test spin and reported back that everything was running fine.
Other niggles to iron out were a malfunctioning trim tab aboardAmillieand a generator issue onAthos. A few crews wandered into town, rented bikes, and had a drink at some of the local bars. Others took advantage ofPatum Peperium’sdigital TV to watch England roll over Pakistan at Headingly.
As ever, the marina staff here at Delta have taken care of every MBM want and need. Tomorrow is down as another rest day. In the evening there is an organised buffet at the marina restaurant, which should be a great chance for all crews to really get to know each other.
