Another relaxing rest day ends with a lavish evening meal

Day 5
Position – Delta Marina, Kortgene

It was a rainy start to the day here at Delta. Due to the inclement weather the Harbour Master kindly offered to show a film for the youngsters in the new Watersports café, located underneath the restaurant.
Others went for sailing lessons out in the Veersmeer. And more still took the opportunity of another rest day to explore further inland on bikes and foot. The highlight of the day, however, was the evening meal.
The restaurant here at Delta served up a lavish buffet of oysters, crab, salmon and pork, amongst other delicious dishes. All crews were well fed when the music began playing. The youngsters hit the floor first, but were eventually bustled aside by the older members of the company spinning to some classic Tom Jones.
Tomorrow, the boats will be heading out into the Veersmeer and towards our next destination – Herkingen. It’s roughly a 20-mile journey, and boats should start arriving at the marina by mid-afternoon.
