ATYC expects 115 boats and more than 250 people for the Bank Holiday event
This year’s Association of Thames Yacht Clubs (ATYC) rally is set to be the biggest ever.
Some 115 boats and 250 people from 15 clubs on the river will attend the event, which takes place this Bank Holiday weekend at West India Dock in the heart of London.
Craft of all shapes and sizes, from Dutch barges to cuddy-cabin cruisers will make their way down the Thames to rendezvous at the marina in time for the opening reception at 5pm on Saturday.
The real fun starts on Sunday with the boat handling competition and formal dinner, which kicks off at 7pm.
