Technohull 38 Grand Sport: Unhinged 103-knot RIB launched by Greek yard

The speed freaks at Technohull have turned things up to 11 with their latest luxury RIB, which is churning up some serious wake after its recent launch.

Boasting a breakneck top speed of 103 knots, the kind of speed normally reserved for super-lean raceboats, the first two units of the Technohull 38 Grand Sport series splashed down at the yard’s Alimos HQ and looks set to leave everything and everyone floundering in their wake.

Mercury Verado outboard power is the first ingredient in this unhinged recipe with three of the recently released 450hp units packed onto the transom.

Add those to a slender 3.1m beam, a semi wave-piercing bow and a triple-stepped Dynastream hull design and you have the fastest Technohull to date.

The hull design is particularly notable, having spent 5 years under development in collaboration with the Davidson Laboratory of New Jersey, it promises up to 15% better fuel efficiency.

A choice of three types of shock-absorbing bucket seats ensure the 38 Grand Sport won’t be a bone-rattling ride, and you can customise your model with a huge range of Spradling fabrics, teak decking, LED lighting, deck shower, electric heads, automatic bathing ladder, bimini or hardtop shades, and even a cuddy cabin.
