New entry swells Supersport fleet
Powerboat P1 SuperSport-class contenders, Team Al & Al, have revealed the two crews that will make up their dual assault on this year’s production hull-based championship.
Team bosses Alfredo Nuzzo and Alfredo Amato partnered each other last year to seventh place in the SuperSport standings inSergio.
The pair will continue to drive alongside each other once again in the Mercury-powered Carpenter 38, now benefiting from brand-new engines and a change of name toStrong Passion. Al & Al manager Roberto Spina will be the team’s reserve driver.
The new boat – which will take theSergioname in honour of the late, P1 racer Sergio Carpentieri – will be crewed by Alfredo Zanardo and Federico Montanari. The Italian-designed and built hull will be powered by Iveco engines. Designer Angelo D’Ettore will act as reserve crew.
