Two new boats set to light up ExCeL centre during January boat show
Sunseeker will unveil two new boats at January’s Tullett Prebon London Boat Show as part of the Poole company’s ongoing revamp of its performance and sportscruiser line-up.
A new Predator 68, to slot in between the 64 and 74, will make its debut alongside a new 50ft San Remo.
Both boats follow the strong new design cues laid down by the Predator 80, unveiled at Southampton in September, and the Portofino 40, which MBY tested in the October issue.
In the case of the new 68 (below), Sunseeker has really gone to town on the hull glazing, extending it from the full-beam midships master cabin almost all the way forward.
Like the new Predator 80, the boat will feature carbon fibre-effect mullions and a blacked-out hardtop, giving the boat an incredibly sleek, sporty profile.
Accommodation will consist of what’s guaranteed to be a very plush full-beam master, complete with sofa and vanity unit, a twin guest cabin forward to starboard and a VIP in the bows. There will also be a bunk crew cabin aft.
The family resemblance in the new San Remo (below) is even stronger, directly copying the window lines of the smaller 40, but on the inside there are enough changes to stand this boat apart.
A big sunpad over the tender garage will please sun-worshippers, while forward U-shaped cockpit seating will face the wet-bar and griddle.
Below, there’s a midships master and a forward vee-berth that you’ll be able to slide together to create a double. There will be another berth option in the saloon, with owners able to spec a pullman cabin.
Not a lot is known about the technical specs of either boat at present, but we have been told the Predator 68 will come with a surface drive option that should see it to 42 knots.
