Poole yard names new Spanish agent; Marina Estrella partners with Azimut
Sunseeker’s long-standing partnership with their Spanish distributor, Marine Estrella, has come to an end.
The Poole-based boatbuilder will now be represented in Spain by Sunseeker Yacht Spain SL.
In a statement, a Sunseeker spokesperson said: “After many years of successful collaboration in the Spanish and Portuguese marine markets, the management of Marina Estrella and Sunseeker International have jointly agreed to dissolve their working relationship and pursue different opportunities in the current market conditions.”
Marina Estrella, said to be Spain’s biggest dealer, wasted no time after losing the Sunseeeker agency by adding Azimut to the list of brands it represents.
Francisco Rivas, CEO of Marina Estrella, said: “I am convinced that Marina Estrella opens a new stage with a bright future ahead with Azimut Yachts and the Azimut Benetti group.
“It is the best group we could imagine as partner to further develop our business in the difficult actual context, and for which we are now in the best conditions.
“At the same time I want to thank Sunseeker for all the good work jointly developed during the last thirty years that has given both parts so good results.”
