Spooky goings-on and table-top dancing
Sunseeker Sales Group’s final owners’ rally for 2008 enjoyed fine weather as a fleet of 13 boats converged at the Folly Inn on the Medina River, Isle of Wight, for a pre-Halloween celebration.
Boaters came from as far afield as Eastbourne and Brixham for the do – and were not disappointed by the party atmosphere.
Host boat Class Act, a Sunseeker Portofino 46, was decorated in full ghost-ship regalia to suit the Halloween theme.
Glowing pumpkin jack-o-lanterns decorated the flotilla’s pontoon for the welcome champagne and canapé reception, while there was even an apple bobbing competition held in an inflatable coffin, complete with skeleton.
The party enjoyed a meal at the Folly Inn with live music and dancing.
Peter and Lorraine Clarke, who own Odyssey, a Martinique 39, came all the way from Brixham to join the event and said: “It was a long way to travel by sea for one night – but it was well worth the effort.”
The Clarkes have since booked their place on the Sunseeker Owners’ French Cruise for 2009.
Deborah Culpan, Marketing and Events Manager for Sunseeker Sales Group, said: “We were delighted to host this end of season get-together.
“This was our fifth UK Sunseeker cruise for 2008 and yet again it has been extremely well received. It is so rewarding to see our Sunseeker owners making new friends and of course enjoying their beautiful boats”.
