Sunseeker London help raise funds for kids

Glitzy prizes get the guests bidding

Sunseeker London hosted a glamorous evening at the Chequers in Matching Green which raised £40,000 for Starlight Children’s Foundation.

Starlight Children’s Foundation grants once in a lifetime wishes of seriously and terminally ill children as well as providing entertainment for children in every hospital and hospice throughout the country.

Sunseeker London invited clients, guests and friends to enjoy a ‘Night for the Stars’ and help donate money as six staff at Sunseeker London are running and training for the Run to the Beat half marathon on 5 October in Greenwich.

It was organised by Lauren and Lorraine Head, daughter and wife of Sales Director, Christopher Head and local to Matching Green.

Lauren commented: “Sunseeker London, my Dad and business partner David have supported Starlight for some years now and the work Starlight do is incredible and we are pleased to be involved in organising this evening.

“This support has encouraged a few of us in the office to complete the Run to the Beat half marathon to take place around Greenwich on 5 October. We have all been training like mad so it has been such a delight to enjoy a relaxed evening amongst people so generously and kindly supporting us!”

Surprises were littered throughout the evening including a Taitinger Champagne Reception kindly sponsored by Boodles and Lexus Woodford, a spectacular aerobatics display overlooking the green by The Aero Stars of North Weald led by Phil Ansell, where 6 Yak 50 aeroplanes performed stunts such as loop the loops and dives to entertain guests and neighbours.

After the flurry of entertainment and a four course meal, the charity auction took place.

Auction prizes included a day at The David Beckham Football Academy which sold for a competitive £2,200 an exclusive lap of the Goodwood circuit with Lewis Hamilton reached a huge £8,000 and a Boodles Rain Dance ring reached £6,400 followed by entertainment by FiL Straughan performing his soul music classics.

Those who generously made a donation on the evening were rewarded with the chance to win either a PSP game console, a case of champagne or Kylie Minogue memorabilia and tickets to her concert.
