Biggest Sunseeker ever takes to the water at Sunseeker yard for next phase of commissioning process
Sunseeker’s enormous 155 Yacht has entered the water for the first time at the yard’s factory in Poole.
Full basin trials will now be undertaken on the yacht, owned by repeat Sunseeker customer Eddie Jordan, before sea trials begin later this month.
This phase of the boat’s commissioning will see all its major systems tested to full capacity – a lengthy process given the size and complexity of this project.
Once complete, sea trials are the last stage before handover to Jordan, which is expected to happen in the spring.
Stewart McIntyre, MD at Sunseeker said: “This is an extremely exciting time for Sunseeker as we inch ever closer to the completion of the 155 Yacht.
“This is the biggest project we have ever undertaken and since the announcement of its build it has been the talk of the industry.
“We are incredibly proud of what we have created and look forward to showcasing it to the world.”
