An investigation is underway into how a Sealine SC35 caught fire on Lake Windermere late on Sunday night
A Sealine SC35 caught on fire at Windermere Marina Village, Cumbria, late on Sunday night.
The fire began shortly before midnight and it took two fire crews almost four hours to bring it under control.
Catherine Anders who witnessed the scene said, “A small fire started, then an explosion occurred before the flames grew a lot bigger.”
Two other Sealines, an F37 and an SC35, were thought to be damaged in the explosion. The cause of the fire is not yet known and Cumbria Fire & Rescue Service is now investigating the incident.
