Organisers of powerboating’s P1 world championship has secured title sponsorship for its German Grand Prix from the Hamburg-based bank, Hanseatische i-Bank AG.
The involvement of one of Germany’s leading specialist bankers is further proof that the series offers a credible communications platform both within and beyond the marine industry. Its strengths include spectacular racing, strong business credentials and TV coverage in 48 countries worldwide.
The Hanseatische i-Bank Powerboat P1 German Grand Prix, as it will now be called, takes place in Travemunde, one of the most popular and fashionable seaside resorts on the Baltic Coast, between 1st and 3rd of July. It will be the top event of a packed Festival weekend expected to attract more than 100,000 people.
Axel Stiehler, Director, Hanseatische i-Bank AG: is extremely enthusiastic.
“The Powerboating P1 championship series is dynamic and fresh and one of the rapid growth areas in motor sport. Its success, achieved in a relatively short period of time, is characterised by a highly skilled professional organisation with strong business principles. These attributes also apply to our bank which already has strong maritime connections: an area of specialist business enjoying significant growth. Powerboat P1 offers us an ideal platform from which to continue to develop this sector.”
Nathan Knight, CEO, KBL Powerboat Management Ltd is equally enthusiastic.
“To be able to secure a title sponsor of this stature demonstrates the potential of our business and sporting platform. The German market is key to the success of any major motor sport championship and we are encouraged that in a relatively short period of time we are hosting a German Grand Prix supported by a highly prestigious title sponsor.
