The Turkish yard Sirena Yachts will launch the first motorboat under its own name at next year's Düsseldorf Boat Show
Sirena Yachts is the new motorboat arm of Turkish yacht and automotive outfit Sirena Marine.
The name may be unfamiliar but you will be aware of Sirena Marine’s work, namely building models in the Magellano range on behalf of Azimut. In fact, to date the yard has built 250 motorboats, 100 sailing boats and recently expanded its facility to 155,000 sqm.

The styling of this new range isn’t a million miles away from the Magellano’s and with its purposeful trawler design and semi-displacement hull it’s unashamedly muscling in on the same marketplace.
The first boat in the range will be the 64 and is the model that will launch the brand to the world at Düsseldorf in January.
The claims regarding the new range are rather bold, including ‘unparalleled exterior and interior spaces’, ‘30% greater efficiency than direct competitors’ and ‘the largest cabins in the class’.

Exact engine specifications are still under wraps but the yard says a top speed of 27 knots will be achievable with the semi-displacement hull delivering efficient cruising at 12-16 knots.
At the 2017 Miami Boat Show the yard will launch a 56, similar in style to the 64 on a scale to tackle the Magellano 53 and Cranchi Eco Trawler 53.

A new name and a tough market to crack but it’s set to be a very big year for Sirena Yachts.
