A big brother for the award winning SC35
What they say: “A stunning sports convertible with a uniquely generous cockpit and saloon.”
What we say: It may not be launched until the autumn but Sealine were already taking orders for this new-generation sportscruiser. Following the edgy design theme pioneered by the SC35, this 47-footer eschews a tender garage and sunbed in favour of a huge cockpit and the latest CMD Zeus pod-drives.
That means joystick berthing and an estimated 35-knot top speed from 540hp engines. Unlike the smaller SC boats, the side screens will be fully enclosed with an inset electric window for the helmsman and either a manual or electric reinforced fabric sunroof.
They are also considering fitting larger hull windows than shown here to make the most of the full-beam owner’s cabin. The deck-level sunbed opposite the helm looks a bit weird but the pay-off is a full-height bathroom for the owner’s cabin.
