Chris O'Connor comes from scientific equipment company Bibby Scientific
Sealine has appointed the CEO of a scientific equipment company as its new managing director.
Chris O’Connor, currently boss of Bibby Scientific, will take up the posting on 14 June, and will be based at Sealine’s HQ in Kidderminster.
O’Connor replaces former Sealine MD Steve Coultate, who has been moved up by Brunswick, Sealine’s parent company, to Vice President and General Manager of its European operations.
“I am pleased to welcome a Managing Director of Chris’s calibre to Sealine,” said Coultate.
“His proven track record of business leadership, passion for boating and the marine sector are extremely well-aligned to the future development of Sealine.”
O’Connor added: “I am delighted to be joining one of the UK’s leading boat builders. Sealine has a great reputation for innovation, with an excellent product range.
“The company has a very strong team, and I am really looking forward to working with them to help grow the business.”
