Residents watched in horror as a motor boat slammed into a neighbours' house
A boat smashed into a bungalow on
Leonard Boulevard in Florida’s Lehigh Acres last week, severely damaging the building’s
front wall and roof.
Fortunately
the family of three who were renting the duplex had gone away for the weekend
but, although nobody was hurt, repairs are likely to run into thousands of
dollars. “When I saw the boat I started shaking”, said the building’s owner,
Gloria Sobalvarra, “I’m not mad I understand it was a bad accident”.
The
boat and trailer were being towed by a truck belonging to ‘U Pull and Save’ in
Fort Myers. It is unclear what caused it to come unhitched, but a witness said
that, after breaking fee, it crossed a yard before hitting the bungalow.
