The 51ft Bladerunner was delayed by bad weather last season but hopes are high the summer of 2005 will provide the weather window needed to blast round the 1,691-mile course in under 31 hours.
The crew of three, comprising Neil McGrigor, Tony Jenvey and Jeremy Watts, hope to maintain an average speed of 70 knots, starting from Cowes.
