What we say:Rodman are entering a tough market with the Muse 50, most of the world’s top brands have a pretty handy 50ft flybridge boat in their range so the Spanish yard will have their work cut out. The pedigree is there though, Rodman have a name for great build quality and the rest of the Muse range has won great praise.
The Muse DNA is clear to see, the gill like saloon windows and semi-circular top side port that floods the mid cabins with natural light make the 50 an unmistakable and attractive Rodman design.
On deck the owner is spoiled by no less than two decent dining areas be it in the shelter of the aft cockpit or the sunbathed aft section of the flybridge. Sun pads up top and on the foredeck as well as the seat situated just aft of the anchor locker mean that you will rarely find yourself short of places to loaf.
Rodman have opted for a three cabin layout with the master in the front cabin, leaving a double and twin sharing the beam of the boat amidships, as well as the boon of that natural light.
The renderings suggest a cool décor, Rodman use light wood flooring, hard angles and light wood to produce an utterly contemporary feel that gives no clue to the hard as nails build quality that lies beneath.
Power comes from Volvo Penta in the form of twin D11 670hp diesels and a top speed of 32 knots – prices are yet to be confirmed.
