A young family were saved from a sinking cabin cruiser in Poole yesterday
A conscientious family of five were rescued from their 25ft cabin cruiser in Poole Harbour late yesterday afternoon.
The crew, who were all wearing lifejackets, had put out a Mayday call as their cruiser began taking on water and they were swiftly rescued by two of Poole’s RNLI lifeboats, which towed the boat back to Dolphin Haven where repairs were made.
Poole RNLI is the busiest coastal lifeboat station with 8313 rescues made in 2010.
