His resignation comes as a complete surprise bearing in mind he has acted in a leading capacity at all WOC events around the world since the inception of the championship 12 years ago. He has now relinquished all his posts within the UIM Offshore Commission. Italian Alfredo Redaelli will fill his place in the interim until new elections are held in October.
