Recession bucked by RIBEX 2009
Amongst the economic doom and gloom RIBEX 2009 shone brightly last weekend from its base in Cowes.

A total of 5782 people visited the event to see RIBs from the likes of Zodiac, Humber and Scorpion.
With the demise of the Sail, Power and Watersports show at Earls’s Court in the air the success of RIBEX this year is a refreshing boost for the marine industry.
Patrick Byrnes of Scorpion RIBs says: “This year’s RIBEX was one of the best and certainly bucked the expectations in the financial atmosphere”.
Alan Stewart of Sea PR says: “In 25 years as a seasoned marketing man I’ve covered, exhibited and attended more events than had hot dinners – and I have to say that this was the most enjoyable that I’ve yet experienced.”
The show has experienced such success that main sponsor, Suzuki, have agreed a further three year sponsorship deal with the event.
