We hitch a ride with Fabio Buzzi aboard V10, methanol-powered superboat
In the May issue of Motor Boat & Yachting, out this week, we take to the water in one of the most extraordinary boats we’ve ever tested.
The Code-X is a methanol-powered V10 superboat conceived by a Swiss scientist and built by powerboat racing legend Fabio Buzzi in Italy.

The boat was built to prove the potential of methanol as a fuel of the future, a clean burning liquid that’s a natural by-product of alcohol distillation.
The sleek 47ft catamaran is powered by twin 8.2-litre aluminium blocks taken from the Dodge supercar turning Trimax surface drives.
Don’t miss the April issue to read what happened when we hooked up with Buzzi to test the boat in Italy.
