Exclusive day out for those willing to pay more
Organisers of the Southampton Boat Show have lined up a luxury ticket “for the more discerning visitor”.
The show takes place from 12-21 September.
The new platinum ticket sells for £85, giving holders their own hospitality lounge throughout the day with complimentary tea, coffee, lunch and refreshments.
Platinum ticket holders are also given an excursion on the Millionaire’s Yacht Experience – a 40-minute trip on a luxury 60ft motorboat, with a glass of champagne, of course.
The ticket is limited to 108 people a day.
Andrew Williams, MD of event organisers National Boat Shows, says: “We have listened to what our visitors have said, taking on board their feedback, and have decided to launch a premium ticket service to those visitors who want more from their day out with us.
“From initial indications, we are fully expecting these limited availability tickets to be sold out everyday of the show.”
For those looking to save money, there is also an offer whereby visitors can buy a single ticket for both Southampton and London.
With the flexible combi-ticket deal, £20 in advance or £25 on the door, people can spend two days at either Southampton or London, or one day at both shows.
