RAFYC opens its doors to all the family
The RAFYC is opening its doors to the public on Sunday 8 June from 1100hrs to 1700hrs.
The club, on the River Hamble, has sailor and author Tom Cunliffe opening the event.
With entertainment for youngsters, as well as live jazz, liferaft, flare and other nautical demonstrations lined up for the day, the club hope it will prove a fun day out for all the family.
The Calshot Lifeboat will also be paying a visit.
Robin Clarkson, Vice Commodore says: “This is a great opportunity for everyone to join the Flag Officers and members and enjoy a sunny Sunday with us in the grounds of Riverside House.
“I am sure that everyone who attends will have a day to remember.”
Founded in 1932 by Officers of RAF Calshot, the club still maintains its close association with the Royal Air Force, however the majority of members are civilians with a keen interest in all things nautical.
Membership of the Club is open for all to apply.
