Instructions for mariners ahead of visit by submarines
Two nuclear submarines are due to visit Portsmouth Harbour this month, according to a Local Notice to Mariners.
The first of the visits will take place before 9 June, and the second between 9 and 12 June.
Between Nab Tower and their berths, the submarines will be escorted by tugs and police vessels and are considered “vessels constrained by draught” under the Colregs.
All boats are asked to avoid any action that will impede safe passage.
