Nimbus and Raymarine join hands

Kit to come as standard on all Nimbus, Storebro and Paragon models

Raymarine have announced an exclusive agreement with Nimbus Boats to equip all models in their Nimbus, Storebro and Paragon ranges with Raymarine C Series marine electronics kit.

The agreement means that Raymarine’s Swedish distributor, Navship Sweden AB, will equip the Gothenburg-based Nimbus Group’s entire production line with C80 or C120 multi function displays as standard.

The Nimbus Group was founded in 1977 and has a turnover of around one billion Krona (?110 million).

Stefan Berne, Managing Director of Navship Sweden AB, said: “We are delighted with this agreement.

“For many years Raymarine has been equipment of choice for many Nimbus and Storebro customers, with the marine electronics systems fitted post production at the customer’s request.

“Now with Raymarine selected as standard fit across the entire range, the customer will have a C80 or C120 package, dependent on boat size, and this will be installed within the production process ensuring the highest quality standards.”

Raymarine’s C80 and the larger C120 single station, colour displays provide position and instrument data with integrated chartplotter, GPS, radar, fishfinder and AIS information.

The systems also have the ability to display engine monitoring information and interface with the autopilot, navigational software and safety equipment such as the LifeTag.

Andy King, Sales and Marketing Director at Raymarine, said: “This agreement recognises strong customer demand for our high quality products.

“It is also an endorsement of the support and service that Nimbus Boats and its customers receive from our Swedish distributor Navship, and from Raymarine around the world.”
