Owners of boats berthed at Newburgh waterfront must move them by the middle of June or face having them removed for disposal. Newburgh Community Trust says it has managed to contact the owners of two of the boats, but has had difficulty in contacting owners who live outside the Newburgh area.
The Trust is near to completing its acquisition of the site on the River Tay, and owners are urged to remove their boats as soon as possible. Major renovation work is needed to stop piers on the waterfront from being washed away, and the Trust says it hopes to restore them as part of a scheme to regenerate the town’s waterfront.
