Rules are based entirely on the principles used in the UK. All boats are identical one-designs with modifications prohibited resulting in tight competitive racing.
This year will see the coming together of the two series for the first time. The winner of the New Zealand championship will be invited to join the UK finals in Guernsey on September 10/11 driving the spare Honda rig normally reserved for guest crews
