New inboard RIB planned by Revenger
Revenger have announced plans to build a 32ft inboard RIB which will slot in towards the top of their range.
The boat is still in prototype stage but Revenger built a version which took part in the 2008 Round Britain Powerboat Race – hence the picture!
The 31 was released in 2006 with GRP coamings above the tubes but plans for the 32 come after customer requests for a return to open tubes.
Innovations include a new console with a double berth and sea toilet as well as electrically adjustable seats at the helm and a typically capable stepped hull.
Engine options are likely to be a twin Yanmar 315hp installation or two Yamaha ME 422HO power plants – either way 60 knots could be in reach. There is also the chance that single engine options will be available using the Volvo Penta range but this would be a first for the yard.
Prices for a boat with the twin Yanmar engines are expected to be around £130,000.
