Yard confirms it will include aft galley and owner's cabin layout from 500 and 550
Following rave reviews on its 500 and 550, Prestige has
released plans for a new 45ft model, again to be offered in flybridge and ‘S’
hardtop styles. The big news is that the two-cabin 450 will come with the same
private aft stairwell down to the owner’s master suite, which will come with
full headroom around the berth and hull-side windows. Like its big sisters, an
aft galley layout will also be included.
Unlike most boats in this market, Prestige will also retain
a deck saloon style under the hardtop, rather than a cockpit and lower saloon.
Together with the aft galley, this means that below decks space only has to be
found for a forward VIP cabin, allowing more room aft for that master.
Power will come from Volvo Penta IPS 600s, running joystick
control, and we expect the top speed to around 32knots, with comfortable
cruising at 22knots – 25 knots the name of the game.
UK Prestige dealer, Ancasta International, is bullish about
the boat’s abilities and value, promising an improved standard specification
over the old Prestige 440 and a base price below that of the £407,640 Sealine
SC42i and the £441,480 F42.
The Prestige 450 will be officially launched at the Paris
Boat Show in December this year and will also be at the 2013 London Boat Show.
