Ahead of our test of the Windy Zonda 31, we present a sneak peek at the new boat
Norwegian builder Windy has released images of its new 31ft Zonda. Similar in type and style to the Khamsin but with a harder performance edge, the Zonda is due for its official UK launch at the Southampton Boat Show.
In MBM’s May issue we reported that behind the serious performance looks is a design meant to accommodate as well as exhilarate. Typically Windy, there are three bucket seats across the helm, while below decks we are promised an even larger shower compartment and galley than that
found on the 32 Grand Tornado. There’s more natural light for the four-berth
interior too.
You can’t ignore this boat’s on-water
ability for long and with Windy’s new,
lighter, stronger, vacuum-infusion lay-up system employed, the yard is
bullish about the Zonda’s figures, suggesting it could pack a 50-knot punch.
Look out for our test soon, but for now enjoy this gallery.
